Q       Does SEDCO provide financing to SMME?

A       In as much as we support SMME’s we do not provide financing or loans of any sort. BUT if an entrepreneur needs financing or a loan.

1. We advise about the possible options for financiers
2. Advise on the best finance for the development of the entrepreneur's business
3. We assist in loan procurement by offering business plan preparation services

Q what does it take to get operating space or a workshop at SEDCO. What are the qualifications?

A. SEDCO has a policy for allocating businesses on the estates. First consideration is for manufacturing businesses. But with the availability of workshops other businesses are considered on the bases of business plan viability and service or business essentiality.

     Qualify you need a business plan and then you will be given a      workshop application form attainable at any SEDCO office. You will then fill the form and submit it together with the business plan.

An allocations committee will look at your application in accordance with the set allocation policy and determine the success of your application and the acquirement of your operating space or workshop.
