iHub Operator Business Pitch

SEDCO hosted a business pitch session for ten IT entrepreneurs who were shortlisted to pitch business ideas to run an iHub Centre at SEDCO’s Piggs Peak Estate. This is a partnership with the Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM) and UNDP that aims to establish and operate ICT Hubs throughout the country.

The adjudicating panel included officials and business experts from ESCCOM, UNDP, Eswatini Bank, Junior Achievement (JA), and Limkokwing University. Siyabonga Dlamini of Lourie Technologies radiated confidence, citing his IT background and experience. Sandile Siphepho of Superior Sabolanga Investments expressed his deep appreciation and noted, “This exposure will undoubtedly translate to a wider customer base, compelling my business forward.”

The presentations were evaluated and judged based on captivating storytelling, impactful delivery, and strategic planning.

Beyond personal aspirations, the contestants recognized the iHub as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to access free cutting-edge IT tools and business training. The iHub carries the potential to revitalize the Piggs Peak community by providing vital IT services and generating much-needed jobs.

With the competition in full swing, all eyes are on the judges. Who will emerge victorious and lead the iHub into a bright future? Stay tuned for the exciting announcement!
